Michael Skarzynski

President and Chief Executive Officer

Michael Skarzynski is responsible for Iptivia's corporate strategy and worldwide business operations. Prior to Iptivia, Michael was managing director of Red Lion Technologies, responsible for the firm's strategic business thrust to capture contracts to design and build government agency communications networks. He has over twenty years of global executive management experience in the communications and software industries as CEO of Performance Technologies, CEO of the Xebeo IP Switch Venture, acquired by UTStarcom, and earlier as an executive with AT&T Network Systems/Lucent Technologies and with Motorola. During the Administration of President George H. Bush, he served as Assistant Secretary of Trade Development at the U.S. Department of Commerce.

Michael holds a B.S.F.S. from Georgetown University and an M.B.A. from Northwestern University. He is a member of the Council on Competitiveness, the National Defense Industrial Association, the Navy League of the United States, the Association for Corporate Growth and a 49er with the Young Presidents Organization (YPO).

Emiliano Berenbaum

Vice President of Engineering

Emiliano Berenbaum brings over 10 years of experience in technology management and product development. He is responsible for all aspects of engineering, quality assurance and customer support. Prior to Iptivia, Emiliano served as director of development at ApplicationSecurity, where he built the engineering team from 4 to 20 developers and architected and delivered AppRadar, a Database IDS (intrusion detection system). Previously, he served at Micromuse as technical architect and development manager responsible for Precision, one of the market-leading products in network topology and root cause analysis. Additionally, Emiliano has held several technical development positions at IBM. Emiliano holds a B.S. in Computer Science from New York University, where he was President of the NYU Engineering Society, and a B.E. in Electrical Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology.

Mauricio Barberi

Vice President of Marketing & Sales

Mauricio Barberi brings nearly two decades of experience in technology marketing, business development, management consulting and product development. Prior to Iptivia, Mauricio served as SVP of marketing and business development at Mobius Management Systems, an enterprise software provider, repositioning the company as a leader in intelligent archiving and records management and driving annual revenues to $100 million by the time of the acquisition by ASG. Prior to Mobius, he served as VP of marketing and product management at C3i, a technology services and outsourcing firm, where he established the marketing and business development functions while driving revenues from $28 million to $54 million in three years. Mauricio also served as VP of strategic and product marketing at Notara, launching the startup as one of the first software as a service (SaaS) innovators. He has held senior positions in marketing management, consulting and product development with Pfizer, Accenture and Schlumberger. Mauricio holds a B.S. in mechanical engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School. He serves on the Board of Directors of the Northeast Foundation for Children.

Peter Anger

Vice President of Product Management

Peter Anger brings 20 years of experience in networking and network management technologies. He leads all product management activities, including development of product requirements, roadmaps, strategy and positioning. Prior to Iptivia, Peter served as senior director of product management at System Management Arts (Smarts), a network management software startup, where he developed award winning products and helped to grow revenues to $60 million at the time of the acquisition by EMC. Prior to EMC/Smarts, Peter held a variety of director level positions in the network integration business, serving Fortune 500 customers in the service provider, financial and pharmaceutical industries. Peter studied computer science at Illinois Institute of Technology.

William D. Knudson

Chief Financial Officer

Bill Knudson leads the finance, human resources, legal and administrative functions. Prior to Iptivia, Bill was CFO at Sereniti and held other executive positions at Keymark Enterprises and Global Commerce. Bill began his career at KMG Main Hurdman and Ernst & Whinney. He has mentored numerous startup and development stage software and technology companies. Bill holds a Bachelor's degree in economics and business from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
